In January, community members and representatives from the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District, the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce, the Winnetka Park District, the Winnetka Community House, the Winnetka Garden Club, the Village of Winnetka, the Volunteer Center, and many other local organizations came together with one purpose: to promote environmental awareness to the Winnetka-Northfield community.
From the meeting, Go Green Winnetka-Northfield was born.  Go Green Winnetka-Northfield aims to introduce you to easy ways to implement green living at home. Plan to join us for the inaugural Go Green Winnetka-Northfield fair on Saturday, July 16 in Hubbard Woods.  Whether you are new to the environmental movement or want to learn about living sustainably, join us for family-fun presentations, information booths, recycling stations, and more!

What a wonderful resource for our community! I commend you all for your efforts. Creating sustainable environments is not one-size-fits-all; everyone has different parts that they can contribute and this a great resource to help facilitate that.
